Gamekeeper - Dennis Stephenson, our very experienced Gamekeeper rears the birds from day old chicks on our own site. His attention to detail from day old to the end of the season is exceptional. Dennis has an extensive and well organised team of beaters and pickers up.
Host -
Hugo McGowan hosts the Guns on Shoot Days. Hugo will ensure that everyone has a relaxing and extremely enjoyable day. Guns are greeted in the morning with coffee and bacon sandwiches in our purpose renovated Shoot Bothy at Longwitton Dene. Hugo has an extensive range of refreshments for elevenses.Lunch - Lunch is a major event. A chef and waiter from the family's nearby Otterburn Tower Hotel prepare and serve a spectacular three course lunch in the Bothy.
The Birds - The shoot specialises in driven pheasant and partridge, bags often include snipe and woodcock. Bags of between 125 to 250 birds per day are available (a few smaller boundary days are available upon request). Days are let out on an eight gun basis.
Personalised Shoot Card - At the end of the day, Guns will not only take away take away fond memories but also a personalised Shoot Card including a photograph of that days team of Guns.
